The preservatives that are added in cosmetic products serve to prevent the growth of micro-organisms and bacteria in creams, shampoos and more.
Sodium dehydroacetate, which has a preservative function, can cause allergic reactions (1), specific sensitizations to the product (2).
On the other hand, sodium dehydro acetate in combination with Monolaurin, an antimicrobial agent, has provided excellent results as an antibacterial efficacy (3).
