Hexetidine has shown average antibacterial capacity, in a 0.1% solution as a disinfection product for resin prostheses, against Candida albicans (1).

Used in preparations with pre-oral mouthwash pre-surgical operators (2).

It has antiviral properties against viruses that cause infections of the respiratory tract and against herpes (3).
