Permethrin is a chemical compound, an insecticide.
It belongs to the pyrethroid family and functions as a neurotoxin, which affects the insect's neurotransmitter and blocks its activity.
Permethrin is also a substance approved in Switzerland for:
- wood preservation
- insect control
- ants control
- etc
It is also used in the treatment of scabies (1) and in the treatment of Demodex Blepharitis (2).
