Farley Granger (Farley Earl Granger, San Jose, 1 July 1925 – New York, 27 March 2011) 

Film Career. Granger was a talented actor known for his on-screen presence. He appeared in successful films, including "They Live by Night" (1948) and "Strangers on a Train" (1954), both directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Interests. Beyond acting, Farley Granger had a passion for theater and appeared in numerous stage productions. He was also an avid reader and art enthusiast.

Personal Life. Granger was openly gay and publicly discussed his sexuality in an era when it was much less common to do so. He was an LGBTQ+ rights activist and had a long-term partner, Robert Calhoun.
