The Survivors is a 1983 film directed by Michael Ritchie. The film is a black comedy that revolves around the lives of two men who find themselves caught up in a series of bizarre and dangerous events.

Plot

The film follows the story of Sonny Paluso (played by Walter Matthau) and Donald Quinelle (played by Robin Williams), two very different men who meet at a fast-food restaurant during an armed robbery. Despite their personality differences, Sonny and Donald become friends after the incident and find themselves having to deal with a series of strange and dangerous events.

Both men have problems in their personal lives: Sonny is a former salesman who has been laid off and is struggling to support his family, while Donald is a shy and insecure man who has difficulty communicating with others and standing up for himself.

Their lives take a turn when they become involved with an unstable ex-military man named Jack Locke (played by Jerry Reed), who has a plan for revenge against society. Sonny and Donald find themselves caught between Locke's demands and their attempts to maintain their moral integrity.

The film explores themes of survival, friendship, and the struggle between good and evil. The black comedy provides a mix of humor and suspense as Sonny and Donald try to overcome the challenges that come their way.
