PVM/MA Copolymer (vinyl methyl ether-co-maleic anhydride) finds applications in nanocapsules as biocompatible and biodegradable and therefore useful for the preparation of drug delivery systems. It has a surfactant effect and has been tested in vitro in a formulation with Selol, intended for the treatment of pulmonary adenocarcinomas (1).
It has been shown to reduce tooth hypersensitivity, together with 8% arginine (2) both in dentifrices, and in mouthwashes (3).
