Critics' Reception: "Spy Game" received generally positive reviews, with particular praise for the performances of Redford and Pitt and the direction by Tony Scott. The film was appreciated for its intricate plot and well-choreographed action sequences, though some critics found the story a bit too complex and hard to follow.

My opinion. A now 60-year-old Robert Redford plays a CIA agent on the threshold of retirement, with a much younger Brad Pitt by his side. It is a bit sad to see these actors who once played tough guy parts, in the role of retirees, but in this film, fortunately, the director and screenwriters did not want to overdo it so Brad Pitt does the warrior part, leaving Redford in the background.

As I say in the title, well-constructed film, at times over the top, but action films must also be able to concede something strong to the audience that chose them as a genre.

The story holds up well until near the end, peppered with clips of memories of wars and expires in an unlikely ending, but one that pleases the audience.

Good cinematography and excellent all the actors.

Very well-rendered sets.

Music mostly Arabic.

Good film.
