The Terminal is a 2004 film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film's plot is a dramatic comedy that follows the trials and tribulations of Viktor Navorski, a man from an imaginary Eastern European country who becomes stranded in an American airport due to bureaucratic complications.

Plot

Viktor Navorski (played by Tom Hanks) arrives at New York City's John F. Kennedy Airport from Krakozhia, an Eastern European country. However, while he is in transit, a civil war erupts in his home country, rendering his passport and visa useless. When he arrives in the United States, he is informed that his status is in limbo, and he cannot enter the country or return home.

As a result, Viktor finds himself living in the JFK Airport, creating a makeshift life in the terminal. He learns to survive using the airport's available food and resources and befriends many of the airport staff and passengers. During his forced stay, he falls in love with Amelia Warren (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones), a flight attendant.

The plot explores Viktor's resilience as he tries to find a solution to his predicament and the relationships he forms with the people in the airport. The film offers a blend of comedy and drama as Viktor attempts to make the terminal his temporary home and navigate bureaucratic challenges.
