It is a pyrethrin-based insecticide, a substance extracted from the pyrethrum, a component that is derived from chrysanthemum.

Pyrethrins and pyrethroids are derived from the chrysanthemum.

Pyrethrins are commonly used in insecticides for domestic use and in pest control products for domestic and non-domestic animals.

Pyrethroids are more powerful as an insecticidal action and remain in the environment more than pyrethrins.

Both must contain the toxicity symbol N, which is highly toxic to aquatic organisms.

They are a danger to bees.
