PEG-9 Tridecyl ether Trideceth-9 oltre che in prodotti cosmetici, viene usato per la rimozione di metalli pesanti come il Cadmio da acque reflue (1).

Viene ritenuto sicuro dal comitato di esperti CIR (2).
