Sodium Hyaluronate has been used successfully in pediatrics for the treatment of nephrogenic adenoma which is a rather rare but benign lesion of the bladder (1).
However, the mechanism of sodium hyaluronate in the prevention of relapses of this disease would still be unclear (2).
The internal derangement of the temporomandibular joint is quite common and is usually solved with minimally invasive treatments and washes. In this study, an injection of sodium hyaluronate gave positive results (3).
Also due to osteoarthritis of the knee, repeated sodium hyaluronate injections improved symptoms (4).
Positive results also in preventing intra-abdominal adhesions by improving the repair of peritoneal mesothelial cells (5), oral mucositis (6).
