DLPA is known as DL-Phenylalanine is an aromatic amino acid that has the ability to mitigate chronic pain and depression by starting endorphins. Endorphins are neurotransmitters found in the brain and act as natural painkillers.

In practice, taking DL-Phenylalanine slows down the action of the enzymes that counteract the endorphins and they work better.

Not to be confused with L-Phenylalanine
