Dean Reed (1938, Denver, Colorado, U.S. - 1986 East Berlin) was an actor, singer, guitarist, musical composer, film director and leftist political activist.
Its genre was pop, country, rock.
He has recorded 22 Albums, has participated as an actor or director in 20 films.

Career

At the age of 20, as he had not had the success expected in the U.S.A., he moved to Chile and Argentina.

Success

He had great popularity in South America from 1958 to 1965 where his song "Our Summer Romance" was a great success.
Because of his political ideologies, he was expelled in 1966 from Argentina.
He lived for a few years in Italy where he worked as an actor in some western / spaghetti movies.
Since 1973 he settled permanently in East Germany.
He was found dead near his home in 1986. The causes of death remain unknown.
