Every time I stop in Vienna I go to lunch at al Meridien, at You restaurant, practically in front of the Opera, in Opernring 13.
The restaurant is also accessed by Moet, next door, still in Opernring, or, turning the corner, directly from the Meridien Hotel.
Parking
We are right in the center, so parking is problematic. There is an underground car park close to Elisabethstrasse and is almost always free, but costs € 4.50 per hour.
Position
In the city center, a stone's throw from the Opera, has a large lounge with tables for up to 4 people and also works as a bar. During the summer, the outdoor area outside the building on the Schillerplatz is in use.
Kitchen
You will find the strangest dishes of the international cuisine, as well as Italian (in season there is the truffle of Alba at € 15 per gram), French, German, Hawaiian etc.
The quality, any dish you take, is excellent. The presentation of the dishes is very accurate. Generally there is a choice of 4 starters, two or three first courses, four or five seconds and four or five desserts.
Conclusions
Ambient with soft lighting, background music and friendly staff. Never crowded, tables spaced. Ideal for a working breakfast.
