What is chromium oxide

Chromium Oxide (III) is an amphoteric solid, dark green.

This very stable dye is widely used in the construction, ceramics, paint and cosmetics industries.

Because of its widespread use in many industries, its presence in wastewater is inevitable.

The aim of this study was to evaluate S. meliloti 1021 EPS as a substance that accelerates the removal of chromium oxide (III) from sewage and wastewater (1).

With regard to its safety in cosmetic products, there are no important contraindications (2).
