Review Pringles Original Potato Crisps Mega Stack, 6.8 Oz
First impression
Taste, fragrance, crunchiness: excellent
Right salt concentration
Let's examine the ingredients and see which ones I liked and which were not.
Ingredients: Dried potatoes, Vegetable oil (contaims one or more of the following: corn oil, soybean oil, and/or sunflower oil), degerminated yellow corn flour, cornstarch, rice flour, maltodextrin, mono- and diglycerides, salt, wheat starch.
PROS:
Sunflower oil is as a sustainable and healthy alternative to palm oil.
This is the most common with lower saturated fat (11%) and vitamins E, F and linoleic acid. Linoleic acid contains omega6.
Maltodextrin is one or more polymers useful for the absorption of sugars and to provide energy.
It is used as an additive in the food industry to sweeten foods. More digestible than other carbohydrates, it is a white powder that provides only 4 calories per gram and fewer fibers, fats and proteins.
Corn flour has interesting properties from the healthy point of view with good contents of carotenoids.
Rice flour is used in baby food because it is more digestible than traditional corn and wheat flour. It does not contain gluten.
CONS: None
Nutritional table
Calories, total fat and saturated fats not very high, but still in high range.
The salt has right values.
Conclusion
Chips with delicious taste, excellent ingredients and comparatively low carbohydrates
