The use of pregelatinised starch as an excipient in the production of hard capsules could be useful in terms of reducing the coefficient of variability of the filling weight (1).
The physical and mechanical properties of a Amprac 01 acetate pregelatinized starch were studied, obtained with the solvent jet method, a way to study the film formation capacity of this modified starch and the effects when several plasticizers are added (2)
This study evaluated the value of the tensile strength of pregelatinised starch that appeared to be similar to that of microcrystalline cellulose (3).
