Review ILFE V7s PRO

The main advantage of this robot is the dual function of vacuum cleaner and floor washer in a single piece.

It costs around 180 euros, so a very attractive price.

ILFE V7s PRO comes with a range of accessories:

  •     charging base
  •     remote control
  •     transformer
  •     dust tray
  •     water tank
  •     floorcloth
  •     filters
  •     brush

PROS

The first positive side, as I mentioned earlier, is definitely the price.

Vacuum cleaners and floor washers in one robot are definitely attractive. The transition from one to the other is quite simple because you just need to change the dust bin with the water tank and fit the mop bracket on the bottom of the robot.

The cleaning cycle lasts more than 2 hours, which is definitely better than other robots on the market.

The weight is also important because a robot has to be transported daily, stored. There is not much difference with other competitors, but, especially for older people or those who have difficulty carrying weights, a few ounces less can make the difference.

CONS

The noise. It may be the sample I had in test, but 80 decibels are frankly too much if we compare them, for example, with the 70 dB of the Roomba 700 series. Why this noise? It is soon said: plastic and low price. It is clear that the little motors mounted on the Roomba cost more so they are much more silent.

Battery. On the bottom, in a closed compartment with a screw, there is a 2.5 Ah battery. If you leave the robot standing for more than 1 day, the battery will be completely discharged. Unless you move the switch on the bottom to zero. But then, will you remember?

There's an handle missing. For me it is an essential accessory because the robot weighs a lot and if you grab it with one hand you run the risk of dropping it on the floor. The robot's surface is quite loose and the hand grip is not secure.

A switch on the bottom of the robot activates the battery. Then a click on the CLEAN to start. The switch is used to save battery power. If you leave it on zero, however, as I said before, there is the risk, after some time of inactivity, to think that the robot is broken.

Long work cycle, but rather simple. It doesn't have sophisticated programming. Forward, turn, back. It doesn't have a dirty spy, so it goes back and forth but doesn't dwell on particularly dirty areas. It has to be said that because the cycle is so long, there's a fair chance it'll clean everything.

Service. It's a Chinese product. If it broke after a few months and you can't return it, what do you do? The website https://www.iliferobot.com is quite slow. The site reports several European countries, but all of them currently refer to a US and Canadian phone number and a generic email support@iliferobot.com.

Conclusion.

On the market today, the price reflects quality , so there is no need to expect exceptional performance or at least, equal to the most expensive robots. The important thing, then, is to have a service in your country of residence, otherwise it is money thrown away.
