The Asphalt wrc group contains 9 identical cars but with different bodywork for asphalt (one white car is not visible in the race).

The Gravel wrc_s1 group contains 7 identical cars but with different bodies for dirt roads.

The basic performance of the car is as follows:

Setups and performance differ greatly between the two groups:

Gravel

Asphalt

Car interiors

Good job, in addition to the driver there is the co-pilot, both quite realistic. The dashboard is digital, but rather limited. The lining of the dashboard, however, seems lined by the skin of a bear. I have to say that the interior of simulated cars, even the best ones like this, always leaves something to be desired. We expect a reality that is hard to come by for two basic reasons. A very accurate design would weigh too much on the total model so the car could cause some problems of slow execution on slow computers. The other reason has to do with time and obviously cost of execution: the more details there are, the more hours are spent to draw accurately. So, even if I agree that a dashboard more adherent to reality enhances the simulator and increases the reality and the fun, I must admit that you have to be satisfied and pay more attention to the external part.

Ford Fiesta RS WRC 2015 is a car that in real life has gained an important place by winning in 2017:

  • 85ème Rallye Monte-Carlo
  • 51º Vodafone Rally de Portugal
  • 14º Rally d'Italia Sardegna
  • 35. ADAC Rallye Deutschland
  • 73rd Dayinsure Wales Rally GB

and other important rallies in 2019, repeating the success in the Monte Carlo rally.

This exceptional car has been reproduced by Rallylegends Mod that has published so far 5 Mods for Assetto Corsa all downloadable from Resources by nikkk78 | RaceDepartment

The version of this car has reached, in 2017, version 3.0 and is therefore a complete car and has been appreciated by Racedepartment users with an impressive 122,000 downloads.

Driving impressions

It drives very well and is also suitable for those who begin the car simulation. From the first versions the author has added shadow effects, co-driver, steering wheel improvements and now the car is complete.

Easy steering, shock absorbers that adapt to the circumstances: the car comes in two versions, asphalt and gravel. So depending on whether you drive on one or the other terrain, dampers and geometry should be adapted as needed. For a beginner there is probably not much difference, but for experienced drivers the difference means seconds gained.

Sound

From the inside the engine sound is powerful and aggressive, ranging in intensity and sounding sampled. For example, listen for the turbo whistle when the engine exceeds 6,000 rpm.Good job.

From the outside, when the cars are in a group, it's more like a beehive noise and the engines are indistinct, you can't hear the difference between the acceleration and braking of the various cars. The whole thing is a bit muffled and confused. This is obviously felt in replays, where the group always advances with the same noise.

FOV

There is no need to raise or lower the view which is fine as it is. Good job.

Brakes

The car does not develop excessive speed, the brakes respond well, but this car has a mass of 1360 kg, and develops a speed of 200 kmh, so if you arrive at the end of a straight at maximum speed and you think you have to brake to face a tight curve, do not even think about it.  If you want to have fun instead, give it a try and you'll get a scary skid! The car will skid a lot. So for beginners, reduce the braking power in your setup to at least 85%.

Dampers

Again a great job, as I said in the introduction. Since these are two cars with different terrain you need to make some tweaks in the setup to stiffen or soften.

It is important to control the transfer rate from the dampers  to the springs, but it is also important to give the right values to the release rate.

Frankly, if you are not racing, but driving for pure fun, I would leave the setup values unchanged for both models.

 Conclusions

A great job, just look at the considerable size of the .zip file that tell us how much work has been involved. A work that has paid off because the car is extremely pleasant to drive.
