Review    CAUDALIE Resveratrol-Lift  15 ml

IngredientS:

Let us look at the most significant ingredients in order of quantity as indicated on the label. Here is a brief summary for space reasons. For the full text, studies and bibliography, just click on the ingredient and, if you want to go deeper, it is a good read, perhaps a little complex because these are scientific studies, but it clarifies the ingredient/health relationship.

Butylene glicol, an organic alcohol that is used as a solvent and humectant in cosmetics and body care products.

Glycerin.  In detergents, shampoos and other cosmetic products, it is included in the formula to moisturise and soften the skin, protecting it from ageing or roughness.

Coco-caprylate/caprate   It is used in cosmetic products, mainly in hand and face creams. and its function is to emollient, soften the skin and leave it dry. It is therefore a rather light emollient with excellent spreadability and a substitute for silicone oil.

Isoamyl Laurate Used as a solvent, fragrance and conditioner. Compared to caprylic acid/triglyceride, it has better spreadability, is less sticky and provides less of a greasy residue sensation on the hands.

Palmitoyl grapevine shoot extract  Resveratrol contained in Palmitoyl grapevine shoot extract may have an effective effect against hyperpigmentation. Human skin is subject to oxidative stress caused by various factors such as a polluted environment, detergents containing harmful chemical compounds, ultraviolet radiation, etc. Resveratrol has demonstrated anti-oxidative properties and moderate activity against hyperpigmentation. Therefore, some cosmetic companies include it in the formula of anti-ageing and skin care products either as a component alone or in the form of plant extracts containing it, as in the case of Palmitoyl grapevine shoot extract.

Polyacrylate Crosspolimer-6  is often included in cosmetic formulations to protect or repair the skin as a thickening polymer that provides gel formation.

Ethylhexylglycerin, a multifunctional additive for cosmetics and is used as an enhancement agent to achieve better protection against microbial growth.

Sodium Polyacrylate  surfactant and emulsifier, it is osmotically known to absorb 250 times its weight in water.

Stearyl eptanoate    Emollient and water repellent

Sclerotium gum  Thickener. It is included in personal care products to increase viscosity, smoothness and increase the gloss and softness of the product (gel or cream) in which it is included. Cosmetics manufacturers believe that Scleroglucan has the effect of soothing and smoothing the skin.

Xanthan gum   thickener or rheology modifier to stabilise the emulsion. As a humectant, it improves the water absorption of the skin by moisturising and lubricating.

Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract   The good amount of essential fatty acids in Quinoa has been shown to alleviate degradation, dehydration and inflammation of epidermal tissues by virtue of its antioxidant properties. Quinoa oil and extract are often included in sunscreen products as the polyphenols in Quinoa can absorb UV radiation.

Stearyl caprylate   Emollient.

Tocopherol In recent years, it has often been used in cosmetic products such as detergents, shampoos and creams for its antioxidant properties and as a skin conditioning agent.

Helianthus annuus seed oil has a moderate sodium content, but is also characterised by a high content of niacin, vitamin B6 and folate, as well as a high linoleic acid content, all components with antioxidant activity.

Benzyl Alcohol  a preservative and flavouring agent.

Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide belonging to the class of glycosaminoglycans, involved in tissue repair and regeneration processes. Its most well-known application is as an anti-aging agent, to reduce wrinkles and signs of ageing. In this product we find it, in this position on the label, hydrolysed (in simple terms, more soluble) and we also find it in the fourth-to-last position on the label, in its most natural form.

Caesalpinia Spinosa fruit extract   In cosmetic products containing many ingredients, it is used as a thickener and binder.

Adenosine has demonstrated a skin-improving effect and is considered to be a new, safe and effective cosmetic for improving wrinkles, dermal density, skin elasticity and hydration.

Acetyl dipeptide-1 cetyl ester  It is one of the most widely used ingredients in cosmetic products for people who cannot tolerate aggressive ingredients because they have 'sensitive skin', 'reactive skin' or 'intolerant skin'.

Sodium benzoate is included in body care products, facial care products for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

Kappaphycus alvarezii extract  Several scientific studies have shown that Kappaphycus alvarezii is capable of developing a film-forming effect to protect the epidermis by reducing wrinkles, skin desquamation and reducing transepidermal water loss.

Sodium Phytate, chelating product that helps keep a cosmetic product stable and, as an antioxidant, has the function of preserving the product from deterioration due to moulds, fungi, etc.

Khaya senegalensis bark extract   African mahogany extract is included in cosmetic products as an antioxidant and antimicrobial. In 2016, a patent filed in France claims that this extract can maintain or increase collagen expression and other benefits for the skin.

Maltodextrin, in cosmetics, an excellent antioxidant.

Paeonia lactiflora root extract   The root of this plant has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine to treat pain, inflammation and immune disorders and its petals have a fair amount of flavonoids known to exert antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions. A number of glycosides are extracted from the dried root, which have properties to improve pain, joint swelling, synovial hypertrophy, bone erosion and cartilage degradation in arthritis. It is a very interesting plant from a cosmetic point of view.

Conclusions

After this lengthy examination of the ingredients, anyone wishing to use this anti-wrinkle gel-cream can know what substances will be absorbed into the epidermis and what effects will be produced by the ingredients.

There are 27 ingredients, all of excellent quality, many of which are aimed at achieving the cosmetic purpose indicated on the label: anti-wrinkle, eyelid lift, eye lift treatment, increases natural production of hyaluronic acid by 2 times and collagen by 5 times, reduces puffiness by 84%.

In fact, tests have shown that the eye contour has improved and the skin has relaxed.

The cost of this gel-cream, which is fairly expensive, is in relation to the quality of its ingredients.

Excellent product.
