Compendium of the most significant studies with reference to properties, intake, effects.

Schamper, T., Jablon, M., Randhawa, M. H., Senatore, A., & Warren, J. D. (1986). Acid stable dibenzylidene sorbitol gelled clear solid antiperspirant formulations. 1. J Soc Cosmet Chem, 37, 225-231.

Abstract. The stability of clear, solid antiperspirant formulations gelled with dibenzylidene sorbitol was investigated. It was found that the choice of glycol or alcohol solvent had a minor effect on product stability. A major enhancement of stability was achieved by incorporating acetamide MEA, methenamine, or zinc acetate, alone or in combination, as stabilizing agents. Using these materials, products have been prepared that are stable for over a year at 45 ø C.

Akashi, M., Yashima, E., Yamashita, T., Miyauchi, N., Sugita, S., & Marumo, K. (1990). A novel synthetic procedure of vinylacetamide and its free radical polymerization. Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 28(12), 3487-3497.

Abstract. The pyrolysis of N-(α-methoxyethyl) acetamide, which was obtained by one-step reaction of acetamide, acetaldehyde, and methanol, gave N-vinylacetamide (NVA) in a good yield. The polymerizability and copolymerizability of NVA were studied.

Berchiesi, G., Vitali, G., & Amico, A. (1985). Transport properties of lithium nitrate and calcium nitrate binary solutions in molten acetamide. Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data, 30(2), 208-209.

Abstract. Some experimental evidence exists for the complexity of electrolytic solutions in molten acetamide.

Gesslein, B. W. (2020). Humectants in personal care formulation: a practical guide. In Conditioning agents for hair and skin (pp. 95-109). CRC Press.

Abstract. Compounds that can improve the surface of skin or hair are called conditioning agents. The mechanisms by which conditioning compounds do this vary depending on the type of compound and surface to which they are applied to. One of the primary methods by which conditioning ingredients function is by regulating the amount of moisture in the skin or hair.

Supap, T., Idem, R., & Tontiwachwuthikul, P. (2011). Mechanism of formation of heat stable salts (HSSs) and their roles in further degradation of monoethanolamine during CO2 capture from flue gas streams. Energy Procedia, 4, 591-598.

Abstract. The roles of HSS induced acid products of MEA degradation were evaluated. The results show that formic and acetic acids, formed as a result of MEA oxidation, exist in 2 forms in equilibrium; namely, salts and amides.
