Yıldar M, Yaman İ, Başbuğ M, Çavdar F, Topfedaisi H, Derici H. A new approach in bowel preparation before colonoscopy in patients with constipation: A prospective, randomized, investigator-blinded trial. Turk J Surg. 2017 Mar 1;33(1):29-32. doi: 10.5152/UCD.2015.3189.

Abstract. Enema administration in the morning of routine colonoscopy is known to be useless. However, the potential bowel cleansing effects of distal colon emptying with enema prior to purgatives are not known. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of enema use before purgatives in preparation for colonoscopy.

Pyne A, Chatterjee K, Suryanarayanan R. Crystalline to amorphous transition of disodium hydrogen phosphate during primary drying. Pharm Res. 2003 May;20(5):802-3. doi: 10.1023/a:1023445905372.

Abstract. The dehydration of the crystalline dodecahydrate resulted in an amorphous anhydrate. Thus the amorphous nature of the end product is a result of phase transitions during the process and do not reflect the solid-state of the ingredients during the entire process.

Abstract. The porous architecture of artificial bones plays a pivotal role in bone ingrowth. Although salt leaching methods produce predictable porous architectures, their application in the low-temperature fabrication of ceramics remains a challenge. ...

Mokhtari H, Jafarizadeh S, Mokhtari Zonouzi HR, Lotfi M, Forough Reyhani M, Sohrabi A. Bond Strength of White Mineral Trioxide Aggregate with and without Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate with Different Liquid-to-Powder Ratios. Iran Endod J. 2017 Summer;12(3):293-297. doi: 10.22037/iej.v12i3.15600.

Abstract. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) can be used in the treatment of irritated vital pulp and repair of root perforations. However, the initial reaction of inflammatory cells to this material and also its setting time are not ideal. Studies have shown that disodium hydrogen phosphate (DHP), decreases the setting time of MTA, with no effect on its pH. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of DHP on push-out bond strength of MTA at different liquid-to-powder ratios.

Abstract. The aim of the present in vitro study was to evaluate the genotoxicity of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) after adding different concentrations of disodium hydrogen phosphate and silver nanoparticles using the Ames test.

Gates FL, Grant JH. EXPERIMENTAL OBSERVATIONS ON IRRADIATED, NORMAL, AND PARTIALLY PARATHYROIDECTOMIZED RABBITS : II. THE EFFECTS OF INJECTIONS OF CALCIUM CHLORIDE OR OF DISODIUM HYDROGEN PHOSPHATE. J Exp Med. 1927 Jan 1;45(1):125-37. doi: 10.1084/jem.45.1.125.

Abstract. No significant differences were found in the reactions of irradiated, normal, or partially parathyroidectomized rabbits to injections of calcium chloride or disodium hydrogen phosphate. Intravenous injections of calcium chloride caused only a transient rise in blood calcium, which returned to its former level within a few hours. The upper level of blood calcium concentration is independent of parathyroid control. Subcutaneous injections of disodium hydrogen phosphate caused, in all three groups of rabbits, a similar depression of the blood calcium level. After large doses of the phosphate solution, all of the rabbits showed signs of acute tetany in which many of them died. Death or survival was not determined, apparently, by the absolute depression of blood calcium. The rabbits that died were those, in all three groups, in which a phosphorus retention carried the initial rise in serum phosphorus to even higher levels in the hours preceding death, and so changed the normal calcium-phosphorus ratio to a small fraction of its former value.

Wada, T., & Matsuo, Y. (1984). Studies on salt hydrates for latent heat storge. VI. Preheating effect on crystallization of sodium acetate trihydrate from aqueous solution with a small amount of disodium hydrogenphosphate. Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 57(2), 561-563.

Abstract. With particular reference to the use of Na2HPO4 as nucleation catalyst for crystallization of CH3CO2Na·3H2O, influences of preheating temperature and time were studied on the crystallization of CH3CO2Na·3H2O from three kinds of CH3CO2Na aqueous solutions, whose concentrations were 58.0, 60.3, and 62.8 wt%. In 60.3 wt% aqueous solution (CH3CO2Na·3H2O), the nucleation catalyst begins to get deactivated by preheating at 81 °C. The temperature at which the catalyst begins to get deactivated is slightly raised with increasing CH3CO2Na concentration of the solution. The results obtained are compared with those previously reported on the use of Na4P2O7·10H2O as nucleation catalyst, and are discussed on the basis of the crystalline adsorption model.

Hua W, Zhang X, Muthoka MJ, Han X. Preparation and Performance Analysis of Modified Sodium Acetate Trihydrate. Materials (Basel). 2018 Jun 15;11(6):1016. doi: 10.3390/ma11061016.

Abstract. In order to solve undercooling and phase separation of sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT), experimental screening method was used to select nucleating agents and thickeners that are suitable for SAT, and the optimal ratio was identified. Through screening experiments of nucleating agents, it is found that disodium hydrogen phosphate can be used as an effective nucleating agent for SAT. When the weight content of disodium hydrogen phosphate in SAT is 2%, the degree of undercooling was reduced to approximately 2 K. The addition of 1⁻1.5% (weight) of xanthan gum (XG) to SAT can effectively inhibit the phase separation. Since the properties of SAT changes after the modification, the corresponding comparison analysis was performed. The results showed that XG has a significant influence on the SAT performance of SAT. With the addition of 1.5 wt % of XG in pure SAT, the latent heat of fusion and solid/liquid volume expansion reduce by 5.2% and 5.4% respectively, and the thermal conductivity and solid/liquid density also decreases accordingly.

Abstract. The hydrated salt disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (DHPD, Na2HPO4·12H2O) has a suitable phase transition temperature and high latent heat of phase transition. Still there are problems such as supercooling, phase separation, and low thermal conductivity. In this paper, DHPD, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) are used to configure DHPD-CAP to suppress supercooling and phase separation successfully. ...
