Sodium coco-sulfate is a chemical compound of natural origin. It is obtained from the sulphonation of the fatty acids of the coconut.
It appears in the form of a white powder.

Cosmetics
An anionic surfactant of natural origin with the ability to interact with epidermal lipids and less irritating than sodium lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). However, Sodium coco-sulfate has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) as its dominant constituent (1), a chemical compound on which clinical studies have found some episodes of sensitisation. Used as a base for solid shampoos.
