Beta-cryptoxanthin, a carotenoid found in large quantities in mandarin orange, thanks to its antioxidant action, can improve the activity of a marker of the activity of the sympathetic nervous system producing a clear anti-stress effect (1).

Beta-cryptoxanthin, after ingestion, is distributed and accumulated in the liver, lungs and kidneys. This carotenoid has a protective function for the kidneys (2).
