Alien is a 1979 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott. It is a classic of both science fiction and horror cinema, known for its blend of tension, fear, and claustrophobic space setting.

Plot

The film is set in the future, where the space cargo ship Nostromo is sent on a retrieval mission to an apparently uninhabited planet. During the investigation, the crew discovers a mysterious alien spacecraft and inside it, they find eggs. Inadvertently, one of the crew members, Kane (played by John Hurt), is attacked by a creature that hatches from one of these eggs.

The creature, known as the "Facehugger," attaches itself to Kane's face, and once removed, it seems that the danger is over. However, a far more terrifying creature, known as the "Alien" or "Chestburster," soon emerges, bursting from Kane's stomach and escaping into the ship.

The crew now finds themselves fighting for survival as the Alien rapidly grows and proves to be a ruthless predator. The situation becomes even more desperate when they discover that one of the crew members has been designated by the corporation funding the mission to bring the Alien on board at any cost

The film is an intense experience of suspense and terror as the crew struggles to survive and tries to defeat the Alien.
