Recently, as before with fat and protein, there has been a negative discussion about carbohydrates, including its being blamed for the increase in obesity and related metabolic conditions, although overconsumption and sedentary lifestyles seem more culpable. Olio di semi di girasole The oleic content is not specified, but nevertheless has a fair sodium content and is also characterised by a high content of niacin, vitamin B6, folate and vitamin E as well as a high content of linoleic acid, all components with antioxidant activity. Organic.

Sciroppo di riso It basically consists of glucose which is a monosaccharide, the main source of carbon for cell biosynthesis and energy generation in the human body, whereas there is no fructose in rice syrup. Fructose, unlike glucose, has a negative influence on our liver. In general, rice contains more than 100 bioactive substances mainly in its bran layer including phytic acid, isovitexin, gamma-oryzanol, phytosterols, octacosanol, squalene, gamma-aminobutyric acid, tocopherol, tocotrienol derivatives with antioxidant activity. Carbonato di ammonio  e Carbonato di sodio are two good leavening agents.

On Salt too much has been written about it, and its negative action on the cardiovascular system is as well known as its action leading to an increase in LDL cholesterol (the bad one). There is very little salt in these biscuits, 0.54 grams per 100 grams of product. Salt is added in high doses to enhance flavour or hide the tastelessness of food.

Aroma naturale di vaniglia  is a synthetic product, hence chemical, but at least it contains a natural extract of the ingredient it refers to. Organic.

Calories are in line with the 'Biscuits' category, admittedly not low. The fats are also in line, while there is a little more fibre.
The positive notes are the weight of sugar, which, at 18 grams per 100 of product, is among the lowest among biscuits, and the weight of salt, which is also low.

Conclusions

Excellent biscuits, which do not have an intense taste (see quantity of sugar and salt), but which overall, from a health point of view (also thanks to the absence of butter) are definitely to be recommended. Subject of course to specific intolerances or allergies.
