Plot
The film begins when a tragic accident befalls the British royal family, killing all members in the line of succession to the throne. The desperate search for an heir leads to an ordinary American named Ralph Jones (played by John Goodman), a distant relative of the British royal family, who lives in Las Vegas and works as a musician in a nightclub.
Ralph is transported to the UK and suddenly finds himself as the King of England. However, his rough and unconventional behavior creates chaos in the traditional British court.
