Netherlands Antilles
The Netherlands Antilles no longer exists as a political entity. It was a group of islands in the Caribbean that was part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Netherlands Antilles was dissolved on October 10, 2010. After this dissolution, the islands were restructured into two groups:
Curaçao and Sint Maarten: These became autonomous countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, similar to Aruba.
Curaçao
Population (2018-2020): Approximately 160,000 inhabitants.
Capital (Willemstad): Population around 150,000.
Top Cities: Willemstad is the main city.
Administrative Divisions: Curaçao is not divided into further administrative regions.
Sint Maarten
Population (2018-2020): Around 42,000 inhabitants.
Capital (Philipsburg): Population approximately 1,400.
Top Cities: Philipsburg is the main city.
Administrative Divisions: Sint Maarten is not divided into further administrative regions.
Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba)
Population (2018-2020): Bonaire (~20,000), Sint Eustatius (~3,500), Saba (~2,000).
Administrative Divisions: Each island is a special municipality of the Netherlands.
