Vietnam, officially Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is a country in Southeast Asia, located on the Indochina Peninsula. It borders China to the north, Laos to the northwest, Cambodia to the southwest, and has a long coastline along the South China Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin. The capital is Hanoi, while the largest city is Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).
