Asia

Asia is the world's largest and most populous continent, located primarily in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Indian Ocean to the south, Europe and Africa to the west, and the Arctic Ocean to the north. Asia is remarkably diverse both geographically and culturally, hosting a wide range of landscapes, climates, peoples, cultures, and religions. It is the birthplace of many of the world's oldest civilizations and major religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Islam. Asia includes both highly developed economies (such as Japan, South Korea, and China) and developing ones. It is a continent of extreme contrasts, with some of the world's most modern and developed cities as well as some of the most backward rural areas.
