Taraxacum officinale (L.), commonly called dandelion, has been used for centuries as a natural medicine to treat inflammatory diseases, including some metabolic changes associated with obesity, and this study confirms its antioxidant properties (5).
Since it is an easily available herb, the temptation of DIY should be avoided because at a certain dosage, as with almost all herbs, it could be toxic.
