Young Frankenstein is a 1974 film directed by Mel Brooks. The film is a comedy parody of horror that spoofs classic monster movies, particularly the story of Frankenstein. 

Plot

The film follows the story of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (played by Gene Wilder), a descendant of the famous Dr. Victor Frankenstein. Despite Frederick's efforts to distance himself from his family's dark past, he is called to Transylvania when he inherits his grandfather's castle.

Upon arriving at the castle, Frederick begins to discover his grandfather's journals and stumbles upon his secret experiments in creating life. Despite initially trying to ignore his grandfather's work, Frederick is gradually drawn into the world of perverse science and decides to follow in his grandfather's footsteps.

With the help of a group of eccentric characters, including Igor (played by Marty Feldman), Inga (played by Teri Garr), and the housekeeper Frau Blücher (played by Cloris Leachman), Frederick attempts to bring to life a being created from the remains of human bodies.

The film is a series of comedic gags, absurd situations, and parodies of classic moments from monster movies.
