Critical Reception: Killer's Kiss was Stanley Kubrick's second feature film and was shot with a very limited budget. The film was praised for its innovative cinematography and creative use of New York City locations. However, the plot was considered weak, and the performances of the actors did not receive particular acclaim. The film tells the story of a boxer, Davey Gordon, who becomes involved with a dancer, Gloria Price, and is caught in a dangerous situation with a gangster, Vince Rapallo. Although it did not achieve significant success initially, Killer's Kiss is now considered an interesting example of Kubrick's early work and independent filmmaking in the 1950s.
