Celebrity is a 1998 film written and directed by Woody Allen. It's a satirical comedy that explores the world of celebrities and the culture of fame.
Plot
The film follows the life of Lee Simon (played by Kenneth Branagh), a freelance journalist who dreams of writing the next successful novel. Lee is obsessed with fame and celebrities and goes to great lengths to break into the world of the stars.
While trying to interview celebrities of all kinds, Lee meets and falls in love with Robin Simon (played by Judy Davis), an intelligent but unstable woman who works as a teacher. Their relationship is complicated by Lee's obsessions with fame and his ongoing affairs with various famous women.
The film features a series of eccentric characters, including actors, models, and public figures, and offers sharp satire on celebrity culture and its effects on modern society.
Celebrity is a smart and cynical comedy that reflects on the human desire for fame and the price often willing to be paid to achieve it.

Some critics praised Woody Allen's direction and the performances of the cast, while others criticized the film for its fragmented storytelling and cynical tone. Despite the star-studded cast, the film is not considered one of Allen's best works.
My opinion. We are used to Allen's ups and downs, on the other hand, if you decide to make one film a year, you know that haste and quality do not go together. Trivial plot, hinging on a journalist who wants to pitch his script to movie stars, producers, etc. Rather dull unfolding with few plot twists and unfunny jokes, apart from a few flashes here and there. Very good actors, but not enough.
Passable photography. Very good music. Not to be seen again, so as not to waste time.
