Sleeper is a 1973 film written and directed by Woody Allen. It's a science fiction comedy that offers witty and humorous satire on future society and technology.
Plot
The film is set in a dystopian future where society is controlled by a totalitarian government. The protagonist, Miles Monroe (played by Woody Allen), is a man who undergoes a cryogenic experiment in the 1970s and wakes up two hundred years later. He discovers that the world has radically changed, and society is ruled by electronic machines and a culture of conformity.
Miles finds himself embroiled in a series of comedic adventures as he tries to adapt to this new world. He meets a young rebel named Luna Schlosser (played by Diane Keaton), and the two go on the run from the authorities. Miles also ends up infiltrating a house of wealthy individuals who practice suicide as a pastime and disguises himself as a household robot.
The plot features a series of humorous gags and absurd situations as Miles tries to uncover a secret conspiracy tied to a supercomputer known as "The Leader." The film explores themes such as individual freedom, technology, and the madness of conformity.
Sleeper is an iconic science fiction comedy that blends smart humor with social satire and eccentric futuristic visions.

My opinion. If you really get your hands or computer on this film, give it a look, but both the story and the comedy seem too far removed now from our taste.
It is a simple little film that lives on a few good jokes and nothing else. More than 40 years have passed and they are all felt.
It is a parody of science fiction intended in a comic sense, both in terms of situations and setting. A few discreetly funny gags, but nothing more.
