The file V8Scorsa_V3.1.7z contains, with regard to the content of the 2019 Ford Mustang S550 theoretically 20 bodies, but at least 2 are repeated or have such minimal changes that I could not distinguish them. No harm done, the different ones are many.
Let's take a look at the bodies as they appear in the race.
This car, from a dynamic point of view, is remarkable, but the author's attention was not focused too much on the animations, only on the lighting.
Well-designed steering wheel and readable digital instrument.
The view of the pilot from the camera is rather tight.
The interior of simulated cars always leaves something to be desired and is, at the moment, the weak side of the simulation. We expect a reality that is hard to find for two fundamental reasons. A very accurate drawing would weigh too much on the total model so the car could cause some problem of slow execution on not very fast computers. The other reason has to do with time and obviously cost of execution: the more details there are, the more hours are spent to draw accurately. So, even if I agree that a dashboard more adherent to reality enhances the simulator and increases the reality and the fun, I must admit that you have to be satisfied and pay more attention to the external part.
The interior design of this car is good.
Driving impressions
This car is a supercar built with great care and delivers an impressive 653 BHP with 651 Nm of torque. All of which means it reaches and exceeds 300 kmh and also has Formula 1 acceleration.
The driving of this 2019 Ford Mustang S550 is spectacular. First of all, it must be said right away that it is not a car for everyone, but it is a difficult car precisely because of the great power and the adherence to physical reality that the manufacturer wanted to impress.
You just have to press hard on the accelerator to discover that, if you don't compensate with the steering wheel, you're immediately out. The same goes for exiting tight corners while accelerating in first gear. Theoretically it's very manageable, but in the hands of an experienced driver this can give beginners some frustration.
If you can master it, you have a talent for driving, but you need to cover a lot of kilometres and several circuits.
If you are a beginner I wouldn't change the setup but as there are 2 sets of tyres:
Dunlop Soft (S) as standard
Dunlop SuperSoft (DD)
I would recommend the latter, leaving the pressure unchanged.
Sound
Cars that do not have a professional sound can be spotted by listening to cars in a group. In most cases you hear the sound of a beehive approaching and departing and that's it. In this case it's a pleasure to listen to them as they pass close to the camera because the sound is different, it's crisp and it's the combination of many engines.
From the inside you can hear the whistle of the turbo going in and the different noise when the engine is above 7,000 rpm and when the car is running, but stopped, it changes. A very good job.
Brakes
Braking is powerful, safe. The default setup already provides optimal values for a beginner, maybe a professional would lower the Brake Bias depending on the tyres and their wear during the race.
Dampers
The Ford Mustang S550 is already stable enough, thanks to the work done by the dampers, and V8SCorsa has respected the physical characteristics whereby the car has no hesitation when cornering if speed, gear and trajectory are set correctly. Good work.
Conclusions
A job for professionals. This car is a must have for experienced drivers and a difficult school for beginners.
