Now let's take a look at what this Dallara F312 looks like in skins, animations and different visuals
Let's take a look at the default skins as they appear in the race.
Interiors
It's a Formula car so the views are wide. Two side mirrors and virtual rear-view mirror at the top. 180° view.
The steering wheel has a very good design, the instruments are readable.
The interior of simulated cars always leaves something to be desired and is, at the moment, the weak side of the simulation. We expect a reality that is hard to find for two fundamental reasons. A very accurate drawing would weigh too much on the total model so the car could cause some problem of slow execution on not very fast computers. The other reason has to do with time and obviously cost of execution: the more details there are, the more hours are spent to draw accurately. So, even if I agree that a dashboard more adherent to reality enhances the simulator and increases the reality and the fun, I must admit that you have to be satisfied and pay more attention to the external part.
In this car, overall a very good job.

Driving impressions
The first advice you should remember when getting into this fantastic Dallara F312 or F317 is its weight. Everything revolves around just 550 kg. If you then think that this weight is moved by an engine with a power of 246 BHP, a torque of 320 Nm and that the top speed is slightly over 230 kmh and if, as I think, you drive, you will get a thrill.
The car is glued to the ground, but, as I said before, there is a lot of power and very little weight. So the first misadventure that will happen to you at the start, if you push the throttle fully and if you are a beginner, is to go straight off the road. Well, no harm done, after all it's only a simulated car, but it will teach you that starting a race is one of the most difficult things.
But let's talk about driving and therefore setup. In my humble opinion, unlike most simulated cars, there is nothing or very little to change here. Tyres are of one type. A few psi more or less in tyre pressure depending on the circuit.
The second advice to bear in mind is that these are open-wheel cars, so when two cars come into contact, it is the wheels that are damaged, with the consequences that you can easily imagine: spectacular skidding due to the steering going out of control.
Sound
Among the best so far. Not only from the inside, but also when the cars are in a group and they pass in front of the camera. This is always a good test to do to check the precision of the sound.
Brakes
Braking is powerful and safe. It's a wonder to nail. Here again no or very few corrections and maybe give a few points to the Brake Bias, but it depends on your driving and the circuits. You will notice the substantial difference between cold and hot brakes, so be careful on the first lap.
Dampers
They're fine as they are. At most I would stiffen them by one point. All kerbs and even the smallest bumps can be heard distinctly in the FFB.
Conclusions
Fantastic and fun car. A few small flaws: on the track, but also in the showroom, the skins are a little darker than normal. With the 4k bodies, don't expect an exceptional quality change. They are definitely better, but they also take up a lot more space on the hard disk. Thanks anyway to the author who provided them for free. The rims are not really the best design. But apart from these small flaws, the car is one of the best and most involving Assetto Corsa cars.
