Let's review the ingredients in order of quantity as listed on the label:
The verde. It is a plant widely used for ethnopharmacological use mainly due to the presence of polyphenols such as catechin and its derivatives, anthocyanins, flavonoids.
Zucchero di canna. It has many interesting components, such as caffeic acid, Cinnamic acid, Chlorogenic acid, Phenolic acid, Hydroxycinnamic acid, Synapic acid, Apigenin, Phenols, Phytosterols, Flavonoids, Luteolin, Polycosanols, Higher terpenoids. Recently, as with fat and protein previously, there has been a negative discussion about carbohydrates, including its indictment for increasing obesity and related metabolic conditions, although overconsumption and sedentary lifestyle seem more culpable. In many parts of the world, natural sugar (sucrose) from sugarcane is the main food source of carbohydrates. There is considerable misinformation about sugar as the average consumer is unaware of some critical issues.
Succo di limone. The chemical composition of lemon includes mainly Limonene. It contains flavonoids, components extremely useful for the immune defense of the human body and thus to counteract degenerative diseases such as cancer. In particular Rutin, Quercetin, Neoeriocitrin (2).
It also contains a large amount of vitamin C, one of the most important antioxidants found in nature and an element of contrast to free radicals that are the cause of aging and many diseases related to the process of oxidation of cells.
L'acido ascorbico is a chemical compound, a synthesized vitamin C. It is included in formulas as a flavor enhancer, that is, it serves to improve taste.
Aromi naturali. Let's examine the term "Flavorings - Aroma" which is almost always used in food products: the legislation about Flavors and Flavoring Substances is in continuous evolution (1998, 2008, 2012) and it is extremely complex because of the huge quantity of ingredients and processing procedures. A premise: the term "Flavor" or "Flavorings" is generic, therefore it does not mean that the aroma or the aromas included are obtained by natural means, but it is a mixture of substances or preparations, also obtained by synthetic transformations, that is chemical. Explanation: if the term is "Aroma" or "Aromas", it is a chemical component which recalls the taste of the ingredient, but it may not have any substance of the ingredient.
When the diction is Natural Flavors, the natural components they refer to should also be indicated. This is the ingredient I like the least in this package, but it is in the penultimate place on the label, therefore in a very small quantity. The clarification however needed to be made.
So, all very good ingredients, with some reservations for natural flavors, if we want to be very specific.
The nutritional table does not reserve surprises, with a content of carbohydrates all sugar, but low.
Low calories as well.
Conclusions
Excellent product, well balanced both as a taste and from the health point of view.
