CI 50325 is a chemical compound, a synthetic dye also known as Acid Violet 50.
Azine is a compound resulting from the reaction of two different carbonyl compounds with hydrazine.
Chemical Name:
Hydrogen 9-[(3-methoxyphenyl)amino]-7-phenyl-5-(phenylamino)-4,10-disulphonatobenzo[a]phenazinium, sodium salt
Chemical Industrial Synthesis Process
- Preparation of reagents. The main raw materials include diazonium benzene, naphthalene, and azine derivatives. Solvents such as water or alcohol may be used depending on the synthesis technique.
- Synthesis of diazonium intermediate. The production begins with the preparation of the diazonium salt by diazotization of aniline with nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, forming benzene diazonium chloride.
- Coupling reaction. The benzene diazonium chloride is reacted with naphthalene or its derivative in an azo coupling reaction to form an azo intermediate compound.
- Synthesis of azine. The azo intermediate is further treated in the presence of acids and oxidizing agents to form the characteristic azine structure of CI 50325.
- Purification. The crude CI 50325 product is purified using techniques such as crystallization, filtration, and chromatography to remove impurities and achieve a high-purity colorant.
- Stabilization. The purified CI 50325 is stabilized to ensure its stability during transportation and storage, preventing degradation and oxidation.
- Quality control. The CI 50325 undergoes rigorous quality testing to ensure it meets standards for purity, color intensity, and safety. These tests include chemical analysis, spectroscopy, and microbiological testing.
